Like the majority of women I don’t actually know all the parts of a car and how do they work; I only know how to drive a car, but I don’t really know how to care about a car.
I bought my car two months ago and I decided that I have to learn more information about car, its spare parts, principles of work and how I should care about it if I want my car to serve me devotedly for many years.
I came to conclusion that it’s better to start with such parts of my car that are visible, for instance tires.
I turned for help to my cousin who works with cars and knows them better than any of my friends or acquaintances.
He started his small lecture with words that tires should correspond to your auto and vehicle operation in order to provide high steerability, resistance and passability.
There are several types of tires:
- Winter tires are used on ice-covered and snow-covered roads, when it’s below zero. These tires have good road characteristics; many winter tires have tire studs or give an opportunity to mount them.
- Summer tires are designed to be used on highways when there are high temperatures. Tires of such kind provide the best road adherence in dry or rainy weather, have maximum endurance and are perfectly adapted to high-speed driving. But they can hardly be used in winter.
- And there are special tires called all-season tires. As it’s seen from their name they can be used in summer as well as in winter. But these tires are a compromise variant between winter and summer tires, that’s why they are worse than both tires mentioned before in road adherence in winter and summer. And my cousin doesn’t advice to use them; he says that it’s better not to save money on tires.
There are also all-surface and mud-and-snow tires, but my cousin said that this is not the best variant for my car. He advised me to look through discount Sumitomo tires because he is of high opinion of these tires. I haven’t looked through this site yet as my tires are still OK, but when I need it I think I’ll use services of this online store.
